Merging her study of literature and her skills as a historical costumer, the artist attempts to reconcile reality and artifice, history and nostalgia through a variety of mediums.

About the artist
Stephenee studied painting at UC Davis under Wayne Thiebaud, David Hollowell, and Mike Henderson; at Sacramento City College under Chris Daubert, Gioia Fonda, and Eric Wood. 

She has master’s degrees in English and library science, and is skilled as an amateur historic costumer.
